Bark Art

Australian Aboriginal bark art is an art form that involves painting the inside of a tree bark. Traditionally Aboriginal bark paintings served ceremonial or instructional purposes. A popular choice of material is the bark from the Stringybark tree. The paintings are usually based on scared designs and have themes from Aboriginal Dreamtime mythology.
