Evening primrose oil (EPO) is a rich source of omega-6 gamma linolenic acid (GLA) that promotes menstrual cycle health as well as healthy skin function and the body’s processes against inflammation.

Blackmores Evening Primrose Oil contains the omega-6 fatty acids gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and linoleic acid (LA). These two fatty acids are used in the production of leukotrienes and prostaglandins, which are bodily compounds that support the skin’s anti-inflammatory processes. Inadequate levels of fatty acids such as GLA and ILA have been observed in women who suffer from premenstrual syndrome (PMS). As Blackmores Evening Primrose Oil assists to maintain adequate levels of the prostaglandin PGE1, it works to promote a healthy menstrual cycle.
Directions:
Adults – Take 1 to 3 capsules once a day with a meal, or as professionally prescribed.
Children 6-12 years – Take 1 to 2 capsules once a day (pierce and squeeze into milk, juice or cereal), or as professionally prescribed.
Children 2-6 years – Take 1 capsule a day (pierce and squeeze into milk, juice or cereal), or as professionally prescribed.
Contraindications and cautions:
May occasionally cause mild gastrointestinal symptoms or headache.
